Game Launch Issue.

Frank Hunter's Campaigns on the Danube is an operational study of the campaigns along the Danube in 1805 and 1809. Campaigns on the Danube's system focuses on trying to present the player with the same sort of decisions placed on their historical counterparts; how to feed an army and move that army according to a plan, all the while trying to fight a campaign. There is also an option to allow players to play out the battles with miniatures and input the results.

Game Launch Issue.

Post by Champagne »

I have the game installed with both patches, but I still have a problem: the game locks up on launch 4 out of 5 times.

This is annoying! I have to re-launch until I get the scenario screen. Usually, the game locks up on the Title Screen.

Any solutions?

Hmmm ... that's strange. If I remember correctly, there were a number of problems with the sound files that plagued the game when it was first released, but I can't remember if they were addressed in a patch or not. You should do a search in the support forum.

This thread has something that sounds similar to your problem:

I had an issue also, on both of my PCs I think although more often on my laptop where the game crashes on startup.  Once I renamed the intromusic.wav to intromusic.bak it seems to work now.  Since you mentioned music had issues I looked at the sound files and since the game crashes during loadup it seemed intromusic would be the music it tried to play. Since I renamed the file it seems to load and work so far.
