A question about converted commerce raiders

Do they, infact change into CL's and thereby can be trained into higher levels of experience (55-60 exp for warships i think) by just sailing them around for a month or two?

I ask this because I've seen the auxiliary CL's ravaged pretty hard by DD's in the terminus vs durrant AAR. Seems to me like it should be an exp issue.

That's correct. Fresh from conversion, they have their same AK experience, and should be sailed around at least a month before being used in combat.

The Q ship (AK) [which is a Q ship] retains its AK ability, and thus cannot be trained as high - BUT, as it is still an AK, if placed singly, subs may attack it on the surface.

The Q ship (ML) [which is the commerce raider, and when Mike can look at the code I'll have him rename) converts to a CL, and in game purposes functions exactly as any other cruiser.

Great, thanks for your answer. These ships will be invaluable as escorts and raiders I think. When the new patch comes (it's monday already, only a few hours left) and I start a new PBEM campaign I'll be sure to convert quite a few of those.

Oh btw, another question. With the industry turned off, do the resource and oil locations still produce fuel and supply?

IF they do it should be quite an incentive to invade SRA and Malaya.
