Couple Questions

Post by QBPR »

I'm geeked. I've been waiting for this game for a looooong time and plan on writing a lot of utilities for it. Please hurry up and release it, just put it up for download, I'll buy it! I don't need a manual, I'll figure it out. :)

Couple questions...

1. Will it be possible to run the game in window mode if your PC has the horsepower? I'm thinking about having it up in a window at work.

2. You stated before that all player info is kept in an Access database? Am I right on that?

3. Any chance of getting some short gameplay movies? I'm curious to see the animations.

4. What's the highest resolution the game supports? I'm worried, at home I have a Widescreen HDTV LCD monitor that only supports 1650x(whatever). I guess if I can run it in window mode this won't be a big deal as I think given the specs David has laid out I have a beast enough PC to run it just fine.

5. This goes along with #4, any widescreen support in the game or an INI we can hack to try and make it work?

Thanks for all of the hard work everyone.

Now hurry up and give us the game! :)

I to would like more information on this. I know that David has mentioned this a couple of times but I am curious if their is any limitations on what you can edit in regard to player info.

I have followed this game for several years, and the whole time David has stated that the team and player data will be open source and editable via common external programs.

This is from the FAQ:
Supplied editing tools.

Maximum-Football ships with a set of tools that allow access to the main database for the game. These utilities provide all the tools and functionality required to create and edit leagues, teams, and players. There is even a free agent drafting utility to allow you to stock the teams in your new league with players.

Marauders,

I appreciate your input. I have followed this game since 2001 and I also purchased CFL 99 back in the day. I had just forgotten what he had said in regard to this in the past
