smaller campaigns or saved games

Post by mas27 »

has anyone developed any smaller campaigns such as central pacific area i.e. island hopping. i really enjoy the game but when playing a campaign such as 1943 or 1944 there is a lot of time being used to fight the war in china, burma and india. i play for what seems like hours and only get three or four days into a several hundred day campaign. i either lose interest or have to do something else and by the time i get back to it i have forgotten where i was or what was already planned

mas27, my gameplay experience is similar to yours in that I have to take frequent breaks from the game. I keep a small notebook into which I post little notes to myself, listing the game date of each note (actually, I use a 3x5 spiral notebook and devote a page to each day). It adds a few minutes to each turn, but it means that I can come back to the game weeks later and still have some idea as to what was going on in the game.
fair winds,
Brad
