LV Not Playing Briefing Soundtrack

As mentioned before, I am not hearing any recorded briefing or soundtrack in Lost Victories. I haven't tried any other MC's yet, so I don't know if they have the problem also.

This is the General's Edition of SPWaW.

Running with a SoundBlaster Live Platinum 5.1, with the latest available drivers on a Pentium 3.0GHz, with WinXP Pro SP2 and all available patches.

A search of the forums hasn't turned up anything that helped....

I found a file under LV in megacampaigns called snd. There are a bunch of sound files that it says to copy to the main SND file. I have done this but have not reached a briefing yet where it says that I am hearing something, so I can't tell if this fixed the problem or not. I noticed that all the megacampaigns had a snd file listed under them so I copied these sound files into the main games SND file also. Let me know if this is the fix if you reach a briefing with sound.

That fixed it completely. I copied all files under the SND directories of all the MegaCampaigns to the main SND directory. I also did the same with the SHP directories too.

[&:]I'm surprised the General's Edition install did not do this automatically. I assumed that installing the General's Edition would have NO post install steps.

Anyway, it's working fine now, and that's what counts.

Now, if I could just find a set of fixes for my poor tactical abilities....[:(]
