Bean counter for hire.

Post by FeurerKrieg »

Okay, this might sound crazy, but I'd like to play a PBEM on the Japanese side and take on the strict role of logistics manager.
So I'll keep track of assets, upgrade dates for ships, supplies, fuel, resources, production, unit strength levels, pools, aircraft upgrades, research, base upgrades, construction engineers, political point expenditures, etc etc.

That's right - I want to play in a game where I have no control over any military operations, other than some ASW work to keep my shipping lanes clear. I'd like to be able to really micromanage the Japanese logistics and see just how efficient I can make things.

I'll take part in whatever kind of game (of course production needs to be 'on'), but short of that, I'll let the 'main players' sort out the house rules and such. I'm open to any - from CHS to Lunacy. 3x3, 2x2, 3x2, 2x1, whatever pbem combination.

So the main player(s) say(s) - "I want to attack Borneo - I need 3 BB, 4 CA, 4 CL, and 8 DD, and I want to take these ground units.". Then I'll look at the upgrade schedules, ship stats, etc to figure out what type of ships would be the best to use and I'll send them to the jump off point. If there are not enough assets, then I say so and we figure out if anything needs to be altered in the planning. I also calculate the optimal amounts of AP for the invasions etc.

So for any Japanese player who doesn't want to have to deal with the logistics and wants to focus on military ops, look no further, as I'm available to handle it!

Anyone following my AAR (Emporer's Champions) knows I'm an Excel freak, plus I'm a Controller level finance and accounting consultant in real life, so your background ops will be in good hands!

I really don't have time for anymore full games, but this would be something I can do that doesn't require as much time commitment, and still give me a game to watch with a vested interest.
