Anyone noticed that he disappears from Tainan daitai after turn 1? And then he could not been found anywhere? This happenned in all my games. I tested and reruned turn 1 several times- allways with the same results. He dissapears even if he scores 2 or 3 kills on turn one. Other Japanese aces are present untill killed, but why must he be evaporised??
Is this some sort of allied fanboy feature?? [8|]

You shouldn't declare fanboyism when this is a known mechanics flaw, and it doesn't just affect the Japanese.[;)]
It happens with the 1.7x patches.

In UV, he usually didn't do well. But sometimes he did. I have the impression it is a statistical thing. Since I know the name, I watch it. He does not seem to ALWAYS disappear - just usually. And sometimes he ends up KIA.

Darn guy was menace to my Australian pilots flying from Darwin in one game against AI. But as I came to think of it, he has not done too well after latest patches.

Mine had 7 kills when shotdown and killed 2/22/42 over Lautem by B17E's from Darwin.

Just switch to playing the Allies and then put him in charge of a squadron of Wildcats using the game's enhanced Leader Bug feature.[:D]
