Maximum Football = Reincarnation of Front Page Sports Football?

For those who may not be familiar with the series, Front Page Sports Football Pro was a great series that allowed you to manage (and play if you wanted) a Football team through an excellent career mode.

I was wondering if there is anyone out there familiar with FPSFP who has checked out Maximum Football and can compare the two?

Uh, I remeber playing the earlier editions (I think up to 95???). Wasn´t that by Dynamix?

Yes, it was 94' - 98'. It looked pretty good for it's time, but the main features were a great career mode with drafting, training camps, retiring players, etc. and a some really good play editior and playbook features.

From the brief description here on the Matrix Games website, it sounds like Maximum Football was definitely inspired by FPS:FBP - was trying to find out more about it.
