clock issues

Twice I have had the clock continue runningafter an incomplete pass on 3rd down......in both cases, it was in the 1st quarter using American rules..........also, in both instances the pass was batted by the defense at the line of scrimmage..........at any rate, the clock continued to run during the 4th down punt and 4th down field goal
