Anyway to control the ratings of players generated for a draft

Post by nmleague »

I know we can edit a league and set the overall talent levels ranging from Pee Wee to all Pro. But is there anyway to to change the level of ratings for each position. As an example for a league I created the computer generated players at the PRO level. Just looking at a players speed here is what I found.

WR - almost all have a speed of over 95 most are 98-99
DB - similar to WR
RB - seem to average about 82
LB - seem to average about 65
Havent looked at the lines yet.

This may be way off but in real life I think that the speed for these positions is much closer. Looking at 40 yard times I think an outstaning time for a WR would be 4.3 with most ranging between 4.4 - 4.7, most DB would be in the same range. Here is the difference, I think most RB would also range between 4.5 and 4.8, some probably as fast as a WR, some maybe as slow as 4.9, most outstanding professional LB probably range between 4.6-5. With this in mind I think the gap between the times for WR-DB and the RB-LB is way to large.

Thanks Paul I will play around with that file today and will create another league to test it. I hope with my posts last night that Im not coming accross as if I attackinig the game. When FBpro 99 came out I kept the game and spent about 3 months working on plays, game plans and adjusting that player settings file to make the game playable. Believe me I want the game to work. Some things like that lack of ability to assign man to man coveage vs the TE, FB, HB real problems.

We appreciate the efforts of folks like you who want to support the game. We realize and point out in the store description the "construction kit" nature of the game and will be working hard to support folks who want to implement their vision for their "great league" in the game.

We will will work to minimize the frustration that always accompanies learning a new game, if you guys bear with our frustration with "but its not FBPRO2000" comments [;)]

Don't worry, there never was a "Football Pro 2000" so you guys are already ahead of the game. [:D]
