1st complete game with patch

Post by Sonny »

Washington (me) lost to Boston 37-36. Sure wish I had an onside kick play.[:D] It was 27-14 Boston at the half. I got it together in the second half but a few long pass plays by Boston really did me in.

Both teams had over 400 yards offense. I had 87 plays to Bostons 58. I think the play clock should start while the players are walking back to the huddle. That way there would be a fewer plays bringing the stats more into line with reality.

Boston used the stock plays and I used my own plays. Gotta work on my defenses - too many DBs standing around doing nothing while the receivers blow by them.[:-][:D]

Unforunately the clock can't start as the players are going back to the huddle. This alone would burn off a 20 (Canadian standard) to 25 (Indoor standard) second play cock and the user would never get a chance to call a play.

Anybody think there are too many plays in a Canadain game? I've not tried one yet.

If I wanted I could wait until the clock got down under 10 secs before I snapped the ball but it is boring waiting that long.

Something needs to be done but it can't interfere with a Canadian game or a 2 minute offense.[&:]

I think 10 min qtrs are probably the best bet for realistic number of plays, 120-140/game
