game speed

Post by laska2k8 »

hi,
new to this game I wish to know if there's a way to change game speed, actually all that I'd like is a middle way between the normal and fast speed...

thanks

laska2k4,

Welcome.

I'm sorry but there is no intermediate speed between Normal and Fast, just Pause, Slow, Normal and Fast.

Well COTA is a bit slower what with all the extra processing. So that should suit you.[:)]

I recently acquired a new game Birth of America. I have started using a CPU slowdown utility with it during turn animation/display to slow down the action and make it easier to follow. After making my moves, I simply hot key to turn on the CPU slow down and then I let the turn run.

The same style utility could be used with COTA to customize how fast the game runs. With the hotkey ability, you could turn if off anytime you wanted to run at top speed.

The above isn't free ($25 USD), but has a number of nice features not found in freeware implementations (such as the ability to slow down only a single process under XP as opposed to everything run on the host).

Thanks both for a quick replay...
it seems that I solved my problem with "Cpukiller 3" [X(], it sounds a bit dangerous but it works.

Markshot please speed up the beta test program for COTA [&o][&o]
