Early Screens shots of info

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Early Screens shots of info

Post by Hard Sarge »

Hi Guys
well, I was told I can go ahead and give out some info

just remember it is still early, so not everything may end up the way it looks here, but some of this is what we are trying for

Hmmm, on these screenshots I still see some errors to fix:
It's Fw 190 and not FW 190
The He 219 speeds are still way too fast, that's proposed data for a non-existing DB 603G or Jumo 222 powered A-7
AFAIK the Fiat G-56 was called Centauro as well

Whay are there so many Me 410 B-2 version, where are the A-1 versions?

Couple of things i noticed -

Spelling - Balkan air force not balkin

the a/c P40 L Warhawk should be P-40L Warhawk

the a/c P39 should be P-39 yo match titles/name style of other a/c

-just little things I'm sure you've already spotted them.[;)]

also wouldn't it be better for British lend lease a/c just be titleD by there British name ie Kittyhawk II rather than P-40F Kittyhawk II .

I prefer Beaufighter, not BeauFighter (and I think it is more correct). Also, can we lose the _ (underscore) on the P47 D 6_RE? I think it should be D-6-RE (but will stand corrected by a US buff). The Spitfire should strictly be Spitfire LF Mk VIII.

Also, anyone for 417 Squadron RCAF rather than 417 RCAF squadron? To be totally obsessive, 417 (City of Windsor) Squadron RCAF, but that is a little long!

[/geek mode]

Great job, I am looking forward to it. How's about BC? or 8th BC?

ahhhh

I have writtne to long winded replies and both have gone missing, during the middle of writting them

so I will try again and cut this one short

as I said, those are early shots, not all, most of the info is entered or done yet, a number of the complaints, I have not even touched yet

for some of the models, I am using the naming system of the books I am reading

if needed, set up some poll's and have a vote taken over the best way to list or report something/list something

we debateing what should be the best way to name units

not all models are in or worked on yet

I have not played the game. The first screenie makes the game look very complex.

Perhaps another screenie to give the flavour of the game?

Looking good, but please change RAF P-40-F kittyhawk II to Kittyhawk I or Kittyhawk III as your listed variant did not serve with the RAF during the war.

Cheers

lol, Joe. That's nothing!

That's 8 raid paths shown, white is inbound, red is outbound. A good day will be 30 - 40 bomber and Fighter bomber raids, plus sweeps and recon. You get to pick the targets, you get to pick the time, alt and units. You also get to sit back and watch it play out minute by minute.

As the Axis, you get to react to the allied AI Raids(or PBEM opponent - don't play Swift, if he offers...)

It is very detailed, and yes, complicated, but not beyond most gamers... In theory, every major axis town, railyard, factory and airfield is represented, interoperating with one another to form the axis economy...

It's fun blowing things up...

......it also looks complicated because of all the extra Waypoints, which were added just to demonstrate the flexibility of the new system. [:)]

You have the option of just flying the straight path to target ( the default option ).

Also you do not need to have all the raid paths displayed. This is the plotting screen, the raids look simpler in flight..

I only have the one screen shot to go by.

That's a subtle hint on how to promote a game.

Hi Joe
give me a chance

hassle with Alphas and Betas and NDA's and all, I got to get premission before I can post anything

which now that I got premissions to start showing some of what we are trying to do, I should be able to get move views out there

also, you may want to look around, there are lots of screen shots from the "old" game in here also, which should give you a better idea

I dont know, did you play Pacwar or Eastfront way back when ?

to most players they were complex and confusing games, once you started playing them, it was simple

BTR and BoB are the same, BTR more so, it looks a lot more complex and confusing then it really is, once you get into the game, it is very easy
