HAVING TROUBLE WITH UNIFORMS

Trying to set up that 1959 league, with the uniforms , and plays that our downloaded on fbmax.com .See the uniforms in folders for the teams , in pieces . Been looking in game for a way to make the uniform like all you other great artist . I see in discussion in forum , about a template . But everytime i try to download, i have no ideal where to put it to design the uniforms . Or how to import it to gimp or windows paint . Very comp i`lliterate here , sorry to say . When i play a quick game i see my team`s , but the color is either all white , or a little color . Would appreciate any advice either here or at donmvp@aol.com . thanks

Will try to help.

1. when you create a league and teams the game gives each team red/whtie uniforms.

2. In the Matrix Games folder on your computer (hard drive) you will have a Maximum football folder. In the Maximum football folder you will have a folder for each league. Example if you set up an NFL 1959 league, you should have a folder labeled "teams_NFL 1959" . In that folder you would have a folder for each team, Packers, Colts etc.. If you open a team folder you will see two folders "away" and "home" these have all the uniform parts for the home or away uniforms. Besides those two folders you will also see individual field art files, if the team has them.

3. To get custom uniforms into the game here is what to do. If you downloaded an NFL 1959 uniform, or full set, unzip the file somewhere. You would then have a folder either the league folder with a folder for all the teams inside, and each team folder with a home and away folder inside. If you download just one team you would have that team folder with home and away folders and field art (endzone, midfield) inside. Next pick one team, say the Packers open that team folder and select each folder, home and away plus each art file, and do a copy command. Now go to the Matrix/maximum football folder, open the Teams_NFL1959 folder, open the Packers folder and paste the home/away folders and the field art files to the packers folder.

Alot of the above depends on what you named the league, but once you find the folder for the created league its just a matter of copying the custom home and away and field art folders/files for a team into the leagues team fiels. In some cases like the 1959 NFL league, if you downloaded the complete zip file of league uniforms and art you could do a copy of all the team folders at once into the Teams_NFL1959 folder. But to do this the names you gave the teams have to match with the names on the folders, Packer/Packers, Colts/colts.

You may want to go into one of the league folders for the leagues that came with the game to see how the field art and Home and Away folders contain things.

Thanks for imfo ,Still having trouble with it . When i open up maxium game folder , i see Team_1959 and some other folders , one is teams_USMC , they both show uniforms . In the USMC one i see several cities and also some team names , like bears , lions and such . Can this folder cause when i go to quick play to just see white uniforms and a few off color ones.Both folders have home and away. I see only one teams real uniform in viewer its home team no visitor colors for it .
In step 3 you say pick 1 team and do copy comand . Is thatcopy this folder in file and folder task . Then you sayopen matrix folder for that team and paste .Do you mean, right click on mouse for copy and paste . Guess this is all silly stuff to ask . Hope when i get around to making uniforms in future do a good job . Debating on clearing game and reinstalling so everything fresh.
