Geez guys...the poor buggers just got floured up and put in the skillet. I think they'll need some actual time to do anything necessary.[:D]

I heard maybe tomorrow, but you didn't hear that from me. [:D]

Seriously, Joe and Don are working hard but we're not projecting a date yet until they get a better handle on things and we have a version in final internal testing.

Paul Prodhomme's "WitP Magic" so to speak...a sprinkle here and there does wonders....if you've never tried his "Meat Magic" or "Blackened Fish Magic"I highly recommend it!!!

When reading that post I had a mental image of Joe and Don being chained to their computers with Erik standing behind them, cracking the whip and yelling 'Hurry up, deadline is tomorrow!' [;)]

Fix existing bugs...give us some new ones to gripe about.

Here's my bet - they'll forsake 1.8 to go directly to 2.0. This will also serve as good reason for further delays [8D]

You all know the software definition of patch don't you? Old bugs removed, new bugs installed!

There is only one reason 1.8 is delayed, Spaghettification!

Spaghettification - what happens when too many programmers work on the same code.[:-] Effects include hair loss, excess caffeine consumption, cursing, delays and fixing just one simple thing leads to breaking 5 more things.[:D]

IT IS OFTEN THAT IN THE PROCESS OF SOLVING A PROBLEM THAT YOU CAUSE MORE PROBLEMS! HOWEVER, THE 1.8 PATCH IS EAGERLY AWAITED BY ALL I'M SURE IT WILL MAKE A GOOD GAME INTO A GREAT ONE. THE PROGRAMMERS EFFORTS SO FAR HAVE NOT BEEN WASTED, I THINK THAT ON THE WHOLE THE GAME WORKS QUITE WELL DESPITE THE LET-DOWNS OTHERWISE NO ONE ON THESE FORUMS WOULD BE PLAYING IT, RIGHT[:)]

We have now reached the "version in final internal testing" milestone. But since I am kinda new around here (in this capacity anyway) I will let Erik communicate the date expectations.

I must agree with you even if this game has a "few" bugs. Let us hope that patch 1.8 fixes more bugs than it produces!
