Please Post Feedback on Public Beta Versions in the Public Beta Forum

Post bug reports, ask for tech support and general requests for help with getting Maximum-Football working in this forum. This is for official support on official versions. Reports based on public beta versions should go in the Public Beta forum.

Erik, got a question. If we find any bugs with our version of the game, should we still post them here in the Support Forum, or should we post them in the Public Beta Forum? I'm kinda confused where to post bugs.

No problem, the rule is pretty easy to remember.

If you find a problem and...

You are running an official update version, post in the Support forum.

You are running a beta update version, post in the Beta Update forum.

In all cases, please note the version you are using. This rule will help us be sure we know which version to use to duplicate a reported issue and also will avoid mixing beta issues and official update issues.

Regards,

Here is my dumb question for the day: how do I tell whether the version I am using is official or beta? I am using v. 1.3.176. I assume that if this is an official version I should keep my questions out of the beta folder. Is it the case that beta versions are available only to beta testers and they know who they are?

The private beta testers are now using Bugzilla to report bugs found in the latest Beta version we are testing (1.5).

There are generally four versions of the game to be concerned with at any one time.

1) The Official Release: this is the last official release of the game.  Most questions or problems are posted in the public forum that matches the area (graphics, PDS, ...).

2) The Public Beta Release: this is a release vetted through the development team, but it is not ready to be official.  Bugs, problems, or observations should be posted to the Pubic Beta Forum.

3) The Beta Release: this is the release given to the development team for testing.  Bug or problems are listed in the private forum.

4) The Working Build: this is the build David is working on but has not given to the development team.
