ED: What will we see?

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

ED: What will we see?

Post by BigDuke66 »

1. Will we see convoys?
Would be nice for the opening of the battle.

2. More airfields in Britain?
All fields from Bomber/Coastal Command would be fine to give the British more room to evade and the German player more targets so that not every attack on an airfields hits the Fighter Command.

3. Italy didn't play a big role but will we see them?

4. Does the British player have the chance to plan attacks on France?
Think about the attacks that the Bomber Command flew against some ports to attack the "Invasion Fleet".

Hi Duke (Big Type)

well, i already wrote a reply, and it went poof right before I was ready to click ok, so I will try again

Convoys
JC and I, had talked about it, had plans for it, but with the loss of JC, I am not sure we will be able to add this in, in the time we have, hopefully we can save it for down the road, as a add on/update feature

More in England
we hope to be able to add in more AF's, more correct AF's, plus more/better targets and map settings

Italy
will we see them ? Yes, will they be much help ? No
in 1941 ? well, it is a what if

GB off, GE off
well, again, we talked about it, and had some major plans in store, but again, I do not think we will have the time to really get a chance to give this the work it would need, another one for the backburner, a really wish we could, but can not say we can or can't (yet)

Hi BigDuke

guess you missed this post, I think it says it better then I could, so will let it stand

Hi Everyone

Jean-Claude has left the project for personal reasons. If you get any updates from Jean-Claude we let everyone know. In order move this project forward we tapped Ron Lorence aka Hard Sarge to step up as project leader. I have asked Ron to take over Jean-Claude duties and he has put together a new team with the members that have been working with Jean-Claude and we have all the work done up to this point. Keith Brors has made some requested code changes and this version should be release in French and German. Steve Ford is redoing all of the planes currently in the game and making new ones from a list Ron provided.

I expect it will take Ron and his team a little time to get themselves up to speed on this but I do feel we are moving in the right direction. The release date Jean-Claude of March is not going to be possible. I let Ron take the next questions and I sure he will keep everyone better updated on where we stand.
