Where are all the VASSALers ??

Post by RedMike »

Just looked at the server stats and doesn't look like there's been any BoH games in over a month ?? Been a couple of VLnL games but not a lot. What the heck ? Who wants a piece of me ?? I'm just getting up to speed with BoH/VASSAL, willing and able to spray some virtual lead over the French country side. Let's go!

I won't put too much stock in the server stats. Theres a glitch with the BoH mod and server stats. We've told Rodney, but he has a lot of stuff on his plate.

Roger that, was just wondering why I don't see more activity. As a matter of fact, I watched a VASSAL game today.

Unfortunately this is true - somehow a Lock'N Load bug, cause I didn't notice this effect with other games yet.
But I can see me online, when I am actually online - after I log off, it seems like I was never there.

Yes, it appears to be a socialist plot to denigrate Lock 'n Load... or something like that.

It is a blast. The vast majority of our play testing has been done via VASSAL.

Well, as many of you must now, the recent update to VASSAL has caused some problems with the BoH module. At the moment I am working on updating BoH from version 1.0 to 1.1 so that it works properly with the latest version of VASSAL. Part of that is the module's name. Seems VASSAL's server history does not like something about the module's current name, as such it does not appear. I have finally gotten the module to show up using the name....LnL: Band of Heroes. I guess it did not like the " or ' that was in the name before. No idea why. So...BoH will now leave a footprint on the server history, but under a different name. So, it will be absolutely necessary to apply the patch to your module once it is ready for download, because as far as VASSAL is concerned, it is a completely different game.

SO stay tuned.

Bill
