Overtime Problem

I was playing the championship game in my 4 team fantasy league and we ended in regulation tied 3-3. I am using US rules with OT selected as sudden death.

When OT began the clock said 5 minutes. My league is set for 10 minute qtrs. I was playing in coach mode vs cpu vs. a cpu owned team.

I thought it odd the OT was 5 min. My team scored a TD and since it was supposed to be SD, I thought the game would end. Instead after the extra point, which shouldn't have occured either, my team had to kick off to the other team. The game finally ended when the clock ran down to 0.
I am using the latest public beta patch.
