The Real When???

Two dates are given for release of WITP, November, 2000 (yes, yes) and Summer 2001 (argh). Which is the real planned date. How about December 7, 2000?

Haha. As nice as it would be, there is no way in the world that
WitP can be done this year and I'm even doubtful about summer next
year. That would mean a little over a year for development of
WitP from the ground up, which seems like an amazingly short time
considering PW has to be rewritten from the ground up with a bunch of
new features added in. Of course, it helps that they have a basic
design already in place to build on, since our goal here is basically
PW but a lot better. But still, the whole game done in a little
over a year? Seems quite unlikely, but who knows, maybe having
that solid design foundation to work from will greatly shorten the
typical time it takes to make a top-quality wargame.
