Question before I buy.

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Question before I buy.

Post by gwack »

Thinking seriously of buying the General's Edition, but I would like to know first if the General's Edition allows you to have higher screen/graphics resolution-like 1024 or higher? I would hope for that kind of money they are offering better than 800x600 with the General's Edition. Don't misunderstand..I love the game play..just hate the old vga graphics. [;)]

Sorry, man. 800*600 is it. For the tactical game that it is, it's fine. Be happy that it occupies the whole screen. The game is a notorious memory hog, so close all background programs before running it. The old lady demands your sole attention, so keep that in mind.

Robot, the game automatically sets the screen to 800x600 when you start it, then reverts back to what you have in windows when you quit or Alt-Tab out. Just a friendly f.y.i. [:)]

It is NO waste of money. I have dozens of games I have bought and they are nice dust collectors. Some I played a few times, others did not work, or were just boring or too complicated.

This one is worth its weight in gold. Trust me. If you enjoy tactical wargaming, you are really missing out until you have this game.
