Wounded Pilots

Hi all,

Just wondering if wia pilots ever return to thier air groups. In my present campaign I have the AVG holed up at Mandalay where they have successfully shot down nearly 500 aircraft. The unit is down to just 15 aircraft and 35 pilots. There are 5 or 6 pilots listed as wia in the top pilots list and I was hoping to get them back as all of them are multiple aces.

If they do what is the time frame. Is it random?
