World in Flames is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. World In Flames is a highly detailed game covering the both Europe and Pacific Theaters of Operations during World War II. If you want grand strategy this game is for you.

Support with forms

I'd be more than happy giving input on the forms you are currently making.

Shannon do you have someone you can have post the forms being used in the game? Perhaps a .zip file of form screenshots? I just wouldn't want you spending your time doing the work yourself because it's probably considerable, and I would prefer not to waste a single minute of time you could be coding. Getting feedback on forms you are creating can provide (hopefully) a shortcut with your time determining what works for the players.

BTW, at this rate I am confident PC Magazine will give this game an extremely high rating for grognards. I've played many, many board games over time, and WIF is the only one that I've spent decades on.

Cheers

Thanks for the offer. My normal process is to post screen shots to the forum and read the responses from forum members. When I have a lot of something, I put together a zip file and tell people to request a copy.

I expect that there will not be a lot of forms to review because many of them will be very similar. If I get the template correct , then all of its brethren fall into place.

Right now I am making progress on producing a sequence of play for display on the screen, with the intent of using it for several purposes:

1 - during a game to let the player know where he is within the sequence of play and what happens next,

2 - during the tutorials to teach the game to novices, and

3 - as a reference/navigation tool for accessing help during game play.

I am also trying to include all the points where an Action's Activity Limits restrict a player during an impulse. If I can capture that clearly, it should help players understand the implications of their choice of Action for each impulse.
