Actually it s asks if ones want to upgrade scenario database to 1.60 !!! . ..[X(] Is this meant to be clicked even using Nik' s scen? Kinda lost here Some advice is welcome

This was part of the 1.60 patch - an update to OOBs in the stock scenarios.
If you installed the 1.8 COMPREHENSIVE patch then this is included.
Completing this install should ONLY amend the stock scenarios. It's nothing to do with NikMod.

You got me confused there ! why is that still showing up as I am running scen 140 turn 1 when I check preferences window then? It still asks me if I want to "add 1 60 changes in database to this user designed campaign" Thing is that it doesn't when I run a stock scenario. according to the message databse as already been updated for stock ones.

So to make this clear ! I don t need to click this if I m playing Nik's or any other modded scenario right ?

Because this is a update to the game (and the pre packaged 'stock' scenarios). Please read the installation notes provided with the patch.
Anyway, generally speaking, what you' re telling me is that despite updating to 1.80 (with comprehensive patch [:D] ) the actual update is not complete if "this" isn't "done" ???
The game code is correctly updated. If you don't click that message on the preferences screen then the 'stock' scenarios (numbered 1 - 15) only will not have been updated.

It is my understanding the "Update to 1.6" will not be available in stock scenarios because the patch already updates them. The reason it is appearing in this case is because he is playing a modded scenario and not a stock scenario. The mods have devices and the like which are different from stock so the "Update" button appears. If playing a mod do not "Update"

Do not click it if you are playing a mod.
Only use it for the stock map and stock scenarios.

This is the short answer to your question.[;)]
