Any Aircraft Fanboys in here?

I know its been quite a while. Sorry about that, school kinda got in the way. But now I am back at it full force, and things are moving quick. The OOB is getting a major overhaul, not to fix errors but to add a ton of stuff.

I've already shown screenshots and lists of what's getting added in the way of ships, but here is a list of new aircraft appearing in the 1.3 patch. No screenshots for now, still doing the art. And note, there are about 5-10 more planes that may potentially be added. So, new planes:

US Navy
Curtiss TS-1 Shipboard Fighter, the first purpose built carrier fighter for the USN. Not as common as the VE-7SF.

Curtiss F8C-1 Falcon, a multirole Fighter bomber, the grandaddy of the Helldiver series.

Curtiss F8C-4 Helldiver, the first USN Divebomber.

Curtiss F8C-5 Helldiver, a landbased variant used by the USMC.

Martin T2M, essentially a wheeled variant of the SC-2.

Boeing F2B-1, a development of the FB series.

Boeing F3B-1, a transition between the F2B and F4B series.

USAAS

SPAD S.XIII, WWI fighter that saw service until the mid 20s.

SE5a, another WWI retread. Used mainly as a trainer after 1923.

Nieuport 28C-1, another WWI retread, saw service until early-mid 20s.

Curtiss-Orenco D, the first ever US produced fighter plane.

Douglas O-2, an observation plane.

Douglas C-1, a transport plane, the first ever adopted by the US army.

Curtiss P-6A Hawk, the first of a long line of 1930s fighters, the P-6A was delivered between late 1929 and mid 1930.

Thomas Morse MB3A, early 2 seat bomber used by the Army and Marines from 1922.

Curtiss B-2 Condor, a long range bomber developed from the Martin NBS-1. Carries the heaviest bombload of WPO aircraft at 2500lbs (2 1,000lbers and 1 500lber).

The LB series, the Huff Daland LB-1 and LB-5, and the Keystone LB-5A, LB-6, LB-7, and B-3A. Light bombers, the LB-1 is single engined, the rest are twin engine. Entering service in 1927-1930, these are the best bombers available. Like the B-2, the B-3A has a 2500lb load, but enters service in October 1930.

French Armee d'laire
The Nieuport Series, of the Nieuport-Delage NiD-29, Nid-62b, and Nid-622C1. Direct developments of the Nieuport 28.

Amoit 122, a 3 seat bomber.

The Breguet 19 series, including the 19 Recce, 19A2, 19B2 bombers, and 19C2 and 19CN2 fighters.

French Aeronavale

Dewoitine D.1, French carrier fighter used on the Bearn in the late '20s and early '30s.

Levasseur LB 2, another French carrier fighter.

Loire-Gourdou LGL-32, yet another French carrier fighter. The French, like the USN, did not standardize anyone type, and flew several variations off the same carrier at the same time.

Levasseur PL-5 C2b, a French Torpedo Bomber. Carries the newly added 400mm 26DA Toulon Aerial torpedo. Also represents the PL-7 which was a limited production model.

Levasseur PL-14, a Development of the PL-5, used well into the 30s.

Levasseur PL-101, a lightly armed recon version of the basic PL series.

French aircraft are armed with either 7.7mm Vickers, 7.7mm Lewis, or the newly added 7.5mm Dame Machine Guns.

For the Brits, I will probably adding a few Hawker planes and the Fairey Gordon, which is an improved Fairey III. So lots of stuff to come.

As to Japan, I haven't fully decided yet. Probably add some of the Nieuports that were acquired, but I haven't worked my way over there yet.


And no, no date on the patch yet. As I said, I still have art to do, new squadrons and upgrade paths to do, and then adding in all the new ships and classes. But hopefully late June or early July isn't too far from reality as a release date.

Don't have a thread addy, but it was way back in March I think, it was a screen of the Courbet and Bretagne class BBs, and a screen of the French class list. From way way back. Some what outdated though.
