Was it during the install or when you tried to run the game?
If it was when you were trying to run the game, then I would do the following:
1. Re-boot
2. Re-Install
3. Re-Boot
4. Attempt to run the game again.
Thanks.

I remeber a user back in the PS 2005 days that had a corrupt instalkl of office or something that was causing a similar error.
First of all, do you have IE6 installed? If so, then I think the way he fixed it was this...
1. Go to a command prompt
2. Change into the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO" folder
3. Type "regsvr32 dao360.dll"
Let me know...

Also, there is a Microsoft fix for what I think this problem is.

Not sure I know what you mean by "go to a command prompt", sorry
Can you please explain how to do this?
I do have IE 6, but don't use it much. I use Firefox.
Thanks

Well, that didn't work either.
The good news is that it works great on my newer laptop. I'll keep messing around with the older computer tomorrow.
I did notice a problem where the fireworks and crowd noise disappeared after a few minutes, so a possible bug, not sure yet.
Great program overall!!![:D]

Seems that's trying to access a method within a DLL file and the DLL file is of a previous make, so it can't find the method...or the dll file is missing. I don't know which one, though, sorry.
puresimmer, what dll's does the game use? Are they all packaged in with the game? Or were assumptions made that some "being standard" would be on PC's already?

Everything the game needs DLL-wise is installed with the game. This is an issue with a COM DLL not being properly registered in the sysem registry.

Hmmm. I'm still interested what the conflict is on that machine. If you get a chance can you download the following file:
http://www.puresim.com/puresim2k7_FULL_DEBUG_BUILD.zip
Then, unzip the EXE over your current PureSim2k7.exe (in the c:\Matrix Games\PureSim Baseball 2007 folder).
Next run the game -- you will get a much more detailed error message along with an option to send me a crash report, please do so.
I still think it has somethign to do with a corrupt artifact from an Office install. What version of Windows are you running?

Hi Ray,
I looked at this error and it looks like a corrupt Microsoft file. Please try and install the download located here and try again:

Thanks for finding the fix. That did it. After chasing around looking at DAO files all day to get the game to start, I'm ready to enjoy the game. (I like what I see.)

Well, now I get "Runtime Error 1004". Unknown.
We are making some kind of convoluted progress, lol!
I sent you the error report, so now awaiting further instructions. I'm glad chrisheck's problem was solved anyway

Wow, I think there are some serious issues with your Windows installation. Try my original fix now that we have gotten this far.

Still getting
Runtime Error 1004.
Thank goodness I can play the game on my laptop, but I wish we could figure out the problem on this desktop. I have quite a variety of games here with no problems, except for PureSim [:)]

No, sorry I was slow to respond but was sidetracked with r/l issues
Still no difference, so I don't know what the problem could be.
No idea why your software is not working when I have a multitude of other programs that run well without a hitch.
