CHS Indian AF OOB Question

Post by GaryChildress »

I've downloaded the latest CHS pack from Rogue's site and am looking it over.  Has anyone thought of putting No. 1 and No. 2 squadrons of the IAF in the game.  They should start out the war in Bombay and Madras with Lysanders and upgrade to Hurricanes if I'm not mistaken.  I believe No. 1 squadron had 13 Lysanders and No. 2 had 12 around the time the war started.

Take a look at RHS.  I added all the IAF - and had to add two towns in India because they are mobilization points for it.  They are in slots 1582 to 1591 and include 1 to 10 squadrons, inclusive, plus No 4 Flight, IAFVR (Indian Air Force Volunteer Regiment) - the only one to operate an in game aircraft.

Yep - 5 Squadron is NOT included - so I wrote wrong above - there is a gap in the numbering. I  used official IAF materials. The squadrons form up over time  - and often do not appear until - in game terms - the get a plane we care about.  They began the war patrolling in light planes in tiny detachments, mostly.  We don't show that.  [But my own regiment today has a detachment of similar light planes - POA?  "privately owned aircraft?" - just as we have POW "privately owned weapons" and POV "privately owned vehicles."  They are more than useless.]
