USING THE SCENARIO EDITOR

Post by Herrbear »

When using the Scenario Editor and clicking on Pilots to get the Pilot screen.   The number you enter in the Starting Experience field stays the same throughout the game.  Is that correct?  Or does it change (hard coded) during the course of the game.

For example:  Stock 15 shows IJAF Starting Experience = 55 and the Replacement Rate = 20.  Will that mean the first 20 replacements for the month will be exp = 55 and any excess will be approx 27.5 from 1941 - 1945 or will it change during the course of the game.

Thank you.

There is a published table of how it changes over time.  It is hard coded.  I think it is in the manual - or something else on your game disk.

Does it actually change as advertized ?? I'm not at all convinced it does...according to my experience...

I tend to draw same 50 exp pilots in 1944 as i get in 1941...[X(] I wonder what others think ? Of course not all play campaign from 1941 to 1945...
I rally hope the feature actually works...

It seems this values are applied only to squadrons that arrive as reinforcements, as far their experience is set to default in the editor. See manual, page 196. Experience for the replacement pool doesn´t change with time....if you open the editor you will see that most reinforcement squadrons are set to exp=0 (default), and so they will be given the table values.

That kind of sucks...and doesn't work as it should, IMHO. Just what I thought...
