Lost in the mods

I go away for 6 months and what happens? Now they are talking about RHS as well as CHS. What, pray tell, is RHS? How is ths different from CHS? Or from "Nikmod"? Can somebody sticky a description of these mods here? Please!

RHS is a small (but active) set of CHS (and former CHS) modders who use a different protocol which is more open to changes and experiments.  It is attempting to do a more radical revision of certain technical matters, and where it is successful, its changes often are folded back into CHS.  Much of the work on the next CHS release is in the present RHS.  The object is to give players options - and to address some player frustrations with things that don't work as they should.  RHS uses a revised set of aircraft and they use different ratings in an attempt to address attrition and combat issues.  It uses a revised system of rating AA weapons, detection devices, explosive shells vs infantry, and significant changes to the economic system.  It is attempting to make supplies and resources actually work as intended by the WITP design - and is in the process of "calibration" (measuring) what is needed to do that?   Fundamental to this is separating supply from resource centers (to a degree) and rating ships cargo properly - a process that is ongoing and not completed.
