Units in France and Italy?

Post by teufel »

Hi,
I used to play WIR years ago and just started to explore the new version. In the old version there was a minimum of SS or regular tank units required to secure these fronts.
So far I was unable to get information about the changes in the new version. Does one SS unit still equals two normal tank units?
Help!
Thanks
Dirk

I understand that the latest version of WiR uses the same rules as the original, An SS unit equals two Panzer divs in said fronts and you need to keep at least one more than the current year in west front. ie 194(3) you will need 4 SS divs, 3+1.
There are also several other elite divs that are not SS, such as the Goring Division that are equal to two Divisions in such fronts, most of these appear in the Italian front HQ.
If I am incorrect I am sure someone will point it out.

Actually, you need only 1 per current year, ie 1 in 1941, 2 in 1942, 3 in 1943 etc
