Germans mobility after the Soviet counteroffencive in 41th

Post by Mist »

This could be a request for enhansment, if any would be accepted in future.
As far as I know, wehrmacht had lost HUGE ammount of trucks during the soviet counteroffencive. You know, whey had an offencive troops disposition, strained communications, and when Soviets had begun their assault it lead to catastrofic results which hardly could be compensated. It can be implemented in the game rules as either additional readiness loss for all german troops after 1941 or decreased supply of german controlled territory. Second one seems to be more realistic, but it can alter game balance toward russians, so it has to be somewhat compensated. The compensation can be max.SL 7 until december'41 for germans. So max.SL drops to 6 in december'41 and in reflects these trucks losses. Someone can find this enhansmend pointless. But I think that it would reflect historical events. And IMHO that is historical preciseness which makes people to love this wonderfull game.

Except during blitzkrieg supply, the Axis supply level already maxes out at 6 (at the end of August 1941), just like the Soviet. As the Axis had at least slightly better transport than the Soviets throughout the war, I would guess that the current system works about right, although not perfect.
