Direct X question.

Post by GBS »

How can I see what version of direct X I have. I've had a couple of freeze ups when accelerating time continuously over a number of hours. Pretty sure I'm up to date because I'm playing CW2M. Just want to know where to look to tell for sure. Thanks.

How to get a Directx Dialog file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

The directx version is the last line on the system tab after you do step 3.

I'm clean on all counts it seems for my Repeatable CTD. I have XP SP2, 1.7G HZ, 512k RAM, 128M video, Audigy Sound Card, DirectX 9C.
