RHS (CVO) 3.0 Kafkaesque Inconsistencies
El Cid Again, here we go again. More inconsistencies that is:
1) In Nauru Island, there is the soviet USSR Okha Civil. He he he, what are they doing there?
2) New Zealand planes are again assigned to India Command... And the indian planes [in India] assigned to New Zealand...
3) The squadron of the marines in Pearl Harbor are flying PV-1 Ventura’s (available on december 1942). In all the previous releases they were flying transport planes: Skytrain or something like that.
4) a month ago or so I posted another 2 possible inconsistences (which wasn’t fixed. And you didn’t say “oh, this was intended”):
a) the USAAF Base Forces will not get radars
b) the RAAF Base Forces (except the No.101) have a weird TOE. Look at them.
5) the americans used to have (in previous releases) 2 squadrons of OS2U-3 Kingfisher’s: the VS-1-D14 and VJ-10. I don’t know what you did but you created a big mess. Look at them and you will understand (it’s written “fighter”, there is the pic of the Hurricane II, range = 0... In other words, the pure chaos...)

RE: RHS (CVO) 3.0 Kafkaesque Inconsistencies
I had a similar issue with point#5. Cid verified that the RHS data was correct. I did a fresh full install and there was no issue anymore. It was a case of data corruption in my case, though I do not know why. You might try the same course of action to correct the situation.

LOL, I see the #5 issue has returned in my game. You are correct with the other issues as well.

RE: RHS (CVO) 3.0 Kafkaesque Inconsistencies
More kafkaesque inconsistencies, chums:
6) The RIA Ceylon Infantry Brigade is [again, like in some of the "old" releases] duplicated (in Colombo)
Mifune, well, then I should re-install it?
Rockmedic, you make a good point. But Uncle Joe was an ardent follower of the "socialism in one country" doctrine [:)]
Terminus, well, nobody is perfect. There are tons and tons of data. Erratas are inevitable, I guess [:)]

RE: RHS (CVO) 3.0 Kafkaesque Inconsistencies
All verified in mine as well, and more....for instance, CVL Cabot is sitting at Panama City ready to fight the war. But I'm out of the testing loop on this one.....just thought I would take a quick peek.

I just started a RHSBBO scenario and discovered the CVL Cabot sitting in Panama on 8 Dec 1941.

It's there in RHSBBO, too.

RE: RHS (CVO) 3.0 Kafkaesque Inconsistencies
At a quick glance of the Kingfishers CVO and RPO were corrupted while RAO and BBO showed the correct units. I am not sure why, but they are suppose to be pointing to #161 not #131. The move was neccesitated by a slot issue. Let me look at some of the other issues and see if they apply within the same scenarios.

Looks like issues #1 and #2 applies in all scenarios. Lets see what Cid has to say on these matters.

El Cid Again, here we go again. More inconsistencies that is:
1) In Nauru Island, there is the soviet USSR Okha Civil. He he he, what are they doing there?
This is a result of the way the editor works - copy this or that - and my failure to change the location as I should have done. I will address it in a micro update in a few hours (after work) - called 3.11. Good catch - I didn't notice it.
2) New Zealand planes are again assigned to India Command... And the indian planes [in India] assigned to New Zealand...
This is fixed in 3.1 released today. I fixed it once before - but somehow must have lost the repaired lines.
3) The squadron of the marines in Pearl Harbor are flying PV-1 Ventura’s (available on december 1942). In all the previous releases they were flying transport planes: Skytrain or something like that.
If you told me the squadron I could check - but either this is right or it is an error (that should cover it)! I did look up every PV-1 unit - so I don't know if this is a case that got changed or not? Which unit? I will gladly update it if it is wrong - but I can hardly do that unless I know which one to look up.
4) a month ago or so I posted another 2 possible inconsistences (which wasn’t fixed. And you didn’t say “oh, this was intended”):
a) the USAAF Base Forces will not get radars
I never did USAAF base forces - and never looked at them - so you get whatever stock or CHS considered right. You think it is wrong? Tell me how? What SHOULD a USAAF base force have - and although it will take a lot of typing (there are a LOT of them) - I will also do this on a priority basis - because I DID update Japanese base forces.
b) the RAAF Base Forces (except the No.101) have a weird TOE. Look at them.
Never looked at them either. Not sure who did this or why? What should it be?
5) the americans used to have (in previous releases) 2 squadrons of OS2U-3 Kingfisher’s: the VS-1-D14 and VJ-10. I don’t know what you did but you created a big mess. Look at them and you will understand (it’s written “fighter”, there is the pic of the Hurricane II, range = 0... In other words, the pure chaos...)
OK - will look. It applies to ALL OS2-U units. When I moved the plane (into the slots with restrictions in stock associated with P-39 and P-400 - and moved the Ventura out - I checked the units using one of the two floatplanes - and the other plane moved - but this one didn't. Strange. Did I ever say I hate this editor?) OK - look for it by morning in 3.11.

I discovered this also in a test game - so it is fixed already in 3.1 versions.

"but this one didn't. Strange. Did I ever say I hate this editor?" I believe maybe once or twice before. [:D] Ironic that the new editor will be available by the time most of your typing is done. Or maybe I should say hopefully so.
