Question about CHS

Post by GaryChildress »

Suppose I'm in a game and then someone--we'll just use Ron as an example--discovers that there is a major flaw in the data or perhaps a bug or two stemming from the CHS mod or something. Or what if the CHS team came out with a new version of the mod which is far superior. Is there any way to do an in-game patch for CHS, or is a person pretty much stuck with the choice of either finishing the current game as is or else starting all over with the new version? [&:]

Continue on with any possible errors, or the inevitable restart.....and that is why I am the InGame Editor Fanboy!

Well, the majority of errors I've encountered in CHS 1.06 are merely a few ships arriving a year early. Ventura's have incorrect range specs. Couple refit issues regarding minor ships. Nothing game breaking at all. I'm into 1943 now so looking pretty good. The next version is going to have even less issues. Great scenario.

I played CHS 1.02 into Jan 44 (PBEM with testarrosa - 7 Dec 41 start ) ... only real game breaker was the "zeke" problem which PzB is also having in stock .. so this is clearly a code problem (which we are working on BTW) ... the other "might be" a game breaker was lack of upgrade paths for many Japanese air types. I was playing with PDU not on - hence could not upgrade many air types .. CHS does need to be fixed to provide upgrades for appropriate air types or stated to be playable with PDU on only.
