It's a FW 190D. You can tell by the long nose with the annular radiator for the inline, liquid cooled Jumo 213 engine. [:'(]

Ok, if I say the country it will be too easy :) It isn't from a place famous for aircraft.

Well, how about identifying the hemisphere?

Or maybe the time period?

It was designed and built in the end of the 1920s in the northern hemisphere.

It was obsolete by the time the country went to war, so I am pretty sure it is a no on that one.

I am SO STUMPED on this one!

I'll keep trying, I'm learning all kinds of things about old bi-planes while searching.

There aren't many Asian countries to choose between. I can say it is not Japan. It should limit your choices futher :)

I had already ruled out Japan, but haven't been able to find any Chinese, Korean, Thai, or Indian designs yet. Could this be a plane from the Royal Micronesian Air Corps? [:D]

Was this plane actually designed and built by this country? Or was it an import or modification of an European design?

Well, I have to say that you've managed to stump the community for longer than any other post in this forum.

Congratulations! [&o][&o][&o]

Got it!

Prachatipok ( B.K.5/TO.1 )

In 1929, Lieutenant Colonel Luang Neramit Baijayonta designed a single - seat fighter, which was named "Prachatipok" after His Majesty King Prachatipok (Rama VII). It was the second Thai designed and built aircraft and the first Thai designed and built fighter, now called Fighter Type 5.

I think this deserves a bottle of Champagne, cracked across my thick skull for spending so much time running this down! [:D][:D][:D]
