GameSpot Ratings...

Post by Erik Rutins »

Hi everyone,

I just thought I'd bring to your attention that COTA currently has a ridiculous 5.3/10 rating on GameSpot along with a review linked to it that was actually for the Euro release of RDOA. Some days, we just can't win! Anyway, we would love to hear some of your voices over there in the form of ratings or reviews. Regardless of the rating it would be good to see what wargamers are thinking about COTA. Here's the page:

My first reaction was "fucking imbeciles!" but then I cooled down, realising this is NOT, repeat NOT GameSpot review. Which is why I post this - before you react like me people need to realise GS review hasn't been published yet - numbers are for "players reviews" (I never care much about those anyway, even though it helps to push the score up) + "other sites' reviews" (much of "other sites" being run by total journalist amateurs, not knowing shit about wargames at all).

I suspect REAL GameSpot review, once they finish it, will be OK, judging from their solid HTTR review:

So lets not get too excited about this until the real review is posted [8D]

Well, I tried to submit a review, but first the website said I had to join Gamespot. So I did that. Then I tried to submit a review, and I was told I need "experience level 3" at the site to do that. Then I tried submitting a score, and the "submit" field just changed to "reset." Er, what do I need to do to give CoTA a good score at Gamespot?
