Thanks for the offer Kuniworth, but my email server would choke on files of that size.

Anyone out there from Matrixgames that can comment?

Neill,

Go to the Steel Panthers World at War forum and look at the 'Give us a mirror...please!?' thread. It will explain the problem and Paul Vebber is from Matrix.

Thanks for that...I had a look.

It did not occur to me that the new SPWAW was at the same download space for War in Russia and Pacific War.

Planning ahead and organising some mirrors would have been the go...after all of the SPWAW downloads when it first came out, Matrixgames must have realised there would be demand for the major revision they had coming out...
Read about it in the historical wargames newsgroup...Matrixgames drumming up download queues 3 months before it came out!!!!!!
No wonder it's a mess.

Well, sometimes the best laid plans have problems...we hope to have the problem sorted out soon. We could make everybody wait to get it until 5 or 6 sites had it, or we can release it ourselves and some people will get it and teh rest will have to wait until tthe mirrors become available anyway...

Can't give stuff away these days unless everyone can get it now, now, now...provide instant gratification or don't bother?

Take it easy Paul. The whiners are a small minority. The rest of us appreciate not only what Matrix has done, but will do in the future, mirror sites or no mirror sites.

Hi.
If you like to, I'd love to have a copy of the winversion-game and the PBEM util before the weekend.

Thanx in advance!
