Installing the beta patch

Post by Freddy Fudpucker »

I downloaded and installed TOAWIII no problem at all. But when I tried to insatll the beta patch I get a message saying my serial number is incorrect. Do I need a seperate serial number for the patch than the one I used to install the game? Or is there another problem here?

EDIT: If this is in the wrong sub-forum would a kind Moderator please move me...thanks.

Same serial number; try the official patch, maybe?

I had the same problem BUT I was using copy/paste from my S/N save file to the patch dialoge box. When I MANUALLY typed in the same number it worked fine.

Sometimes there's an extra space at the end of the string when you copy/paste.

This may be my problem then. I did copy and paste. I'll try to type manually as pompack suggests. Thanks for the replies guys.
