Ctrl right click doesn't always show all units

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Ctrl right click doesn't always show all units

Post by Clausel »

I have just had a situation where following two big battles same turn in the same province, ctrl right click can't cope with displaying all the units in the province ie the surrendered ones (over 40 units/leaders) and the two defending armies as well. As a result one of the latter armies and other defending units plus some surrendered aren't showing on ctrl right click and only appear if all the surrendered units are moved out. Presumably had no battle occurred (probably unlikely given the game mechanics) the discrepancy in display would have been even greater with the 4 attacking armies and 2 defending ones in the province. Have others come across this and is there any way to get all units displayed? If not can this be addressed in a future patch?

Can you close some of the container units (such as the POW corps) in order to fit all of the units in the display?  I'll look at the code and see if I can make the attachment box taller in this case, or some such.

Thanks Eric. Strange but I have never ever thought of opening and closing the containers in the attachment box. That would certainly do the trick in this example. I suppose the bigger box (if possible) would deal with the situation where a player hadn't realised there was a problem. An alternative perhaps would be to default the containers to close if the units total exceeded the box limits. However would that confuse more people than it would assist?
