BG ACW add-on's

John Tiller's Battleground Series is a Hall of Fame lineup of games covering the Civil War and Napoleonic Wars. We've compiled these classic games into two new affordable collections, incorporating updated versions of these legendary titles. Incredible historical gameplay and great value!

BG ACW add-on's

Post by Luciano B »

Gentlemen,

I'm new here but let me say that I'm a true BG lover since their first release.
I'm a member of the American Civil War Cartography Office, a site which provides a lot of custom battles for the ACW Battleground series games.

Right now we are re-structuring our site fixing all the custom add-on's provided. Some of the games available there are well done indeed, others need a lot of work to bring them to the standard of the original BG titles.

I'm the author of the following add-on's, and be sure that I made all the efforts to reproduce the maps with a look very close to the BG standard:

- 1st Winchester (1862)
http://www.acwgc.org/acwco/winchester1.asp

- 2nd Winchester (1863)
http://www.acwgc.org/acwco/winchester2.asp

- 3rd Winchester (1864)
http://www.acwgc.org/acwco/winchester3.asp

- 1st Kernstown (1862)
http://www.acwgc.org/acwco/kernstown1.asp

- 2nd Kernstown (1864)
http://www.acwgc.org/acwco/Kernstown_II.cfm

- Mansfield (1864)
http://www.acwgc.org/acwco/Mansfield.cfm

- Champion Hill (1863)
http://www.acwgc.org/acwco/Champion_Hill_II.cfm

- Mill Spirngs (1862)
http://www.acwgc.org/acwco/mill%20springs.asp

I used in the different battles two graphic styles:

- the style of BG Bull Run (here a sample picture of the battlefield of Winchester)

- the style of BG Chickamauga (here a sample picture of the battlefield of Mansfield)
http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/5201 ... ld13ab.jpg

I'm currently making a huge add-on covering the battle of Wilderness; the maps are done and I'm curently building a first beta version of the scenarios. I would like to find here some volunteers for the playtesting of the incoming stuff, and also to fix the already done games.

Regards,
Luciano B

If you asking for an opinion, I prefer the Chickamauga art over the Bull Run!

My old Piczo site seems to be gone, so no more Navajo Nation pics :(

Nice to see someone pay attention to Champion Hill.  VERY important fight that few people know about.
