Battles for the Bulge and Supply

Post by Deathtreader »

Hi all,

Probably premature with this question, but................ [:'(]

As I work thru the supply model for COTA I got to wondering about the capturing of (and usage of captured) enemy supply. Perhaps not such a big deal in COTA, but crucial to the Germans in the Ardennes Offensive in terms of fuel. Is there/will there be a way to use captured supply??

Rob.
So we're at war with the Russkies eh?? I suppose we really ought to invade or something. (Lonnnng pause while studying the map)
Hmmmm... big place ain't it??

But then (if not yet) it should be possible to stop sending supplies to cut off units...

I think it would go hand in hand with ability for CO to assign supply levels to units ala the old V4V/World at War series..see my thread on this.

Mmmm ... I won't get very excited about shoving boxes. I happily leave that to the AI.

To stop supplies to cut off units is not necessary if only bases are captured and not supply collumns.

that would be great- especially as it was part of the german aim in the bulge
i would really love to see the campaign system (linked battles) working in the bulge game
and in later games/updates being able to decide where air drops should be/ designate landing zones for later drops/supply drops (and therefore have to protect or lose them)
