Trouble switching from full screen to desktop since 1.201

Since 1.201 when I ALT+TAB back to the desktop then ALT+TAB again back to WoW the game hangs. I'm left with the music and a black screen taking up the top left 2/3 of the screen. I can ALT+TAB back to the desktop but the black box is stuck there. I have to force quit the game and restart. Prior to the new patch I wasn't having this problem... 'windowed' mode works fine but I prefer full screen.

Is there any simple way to overcome this problem? Is it a known issue of the new patch?

We have noticed over the past year as new patches were released, the stability of Alt-Tab has declined. Initially Alt-Tab worked a lot, with only some systems having problems, and only some of the time. I'm not sure at what point in all of the patches that this became more of a problem, but I have experienced the reduction in usefulness of Alt-Tab firsthand during the past year. At this point I never Alt-Tab as it almost always fails. Since Windowed Mode works fine, if you need to come and go from the game you will need to play in Windowed Mode. Keith (the programmer on this) has looked at this and concluded that he cannot get Full Screen mode to function with Alt-Tab, so we've had to give up on this. I wish we could fix this but it appears we cannot.
