Provinces Defecting

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Provinces Defecting

Post by ahauschild »

I have not run into this for a while, but it is showing his ugly head again, and I dont understand it.

Example 1. I played the British, and started out by capturing Danemarks Capitol. Kewl, 3 Provinces adopted to my Home Color (solid Red). The next turn they reverted back to Danemark, and auto kicked my trops. Did that three times, winning the country, only to have it turn independent and kick me the following turn.

Example 2. Russian, lost a war with France and Spain, (Damn Insurectionist, I just pushed the french off my soil, had over 150k in prisoners) The following turn several of my Original (solid Green) provinces turned neutral. I captured them again, but each following turn they turn neutral again.

I thought only provinces with stripes could turn or rebel on you. Your own provices, (those with solid colors) did not turn, but generated only rebels, if unhappy.

1. Question, Is this a bug
2. Question, If not a bug, what attribute/stat allows me to maintain control of a province, I mean, is having 300k of troops sitting in the province not enough?

Never saw this happen - I'm beginning to wonder if you perhaps have a corrupted file somewhere...
