No additional air support is available, although runways and refueling/rearming facilities at Midway remain operational. This will be a race to get to Midway, winner takes all.

American and British spy satellites soon obsevred the unmistakable signs of a buildup in eastern Venezuela. Immediately, the United States deployed onebrigade of the 82nd Airborne to the beleagured South American country, and reinforcements were soon on the way in the form of Combined Task Force Hoya, carrying a second brigade of the 82nd Airborne and the 24th Marine Amphibious Unit with a mix of American, British, and Canadian escorts and air cover out of Barbados.
