Interdiction in TOAWIII

If you run AA units up and down roads first in your turn to draw interdiction, will they shoot back given they are going to be by definition in mobile status?

And if AA units are entrained, same question?

Also is there any value to splitting an AA unit into 3 and having 3 hares running around hopefully chased by even more greyhounds?

Any help appreciated.
