0 Replacement Point Bug Temporary Fix

Post by RickyB »

With the 3.1 version and its problem with HQs going to 0 replament points and thus 0 ops points, there is the known solution to it of attaching an HQ or corps to it to fix the problem. For the West and Italian fronts, which can't hold a corps after the turn ends, an HQ will fix it permanently. This has a benefit as I believe that the HQ assigned will contribute any units in it to the front strength, thus helping with the event checks. However, this also means the HQ assigned could suffer from any event that happens to the West or Italian front. It may not suffer though - I have never assigned this way and so have not seen it. The two fronts can be assigned to each other, or OKW/OKH can be used also. I wouldn't do either one of these without testing it, but you can try it. Anyway, an HQ will prevent having to reassign a corps every turn.

How do you assign HQ's to the Western front and North African fronts to keep op levels up?

Thanks.

The ops points are distributed based on replacement level at the beginning of the turn, so there won't be any change during the turn from this. Also, Arnaud appears to have fixed the problem and it should be out soon if nothing else turns up. The problem has been there since at least v 1.10, if not the first version, but each version would show the problem in a different way.

You have to set the replace level to 100 by hand, then it will work. I tried with 8th Italian Army which I attached to Afrika-Front and the Hungrians attached to the Western Front. At first nothing changed, replace level stood at 0, but when I put it to 100 manually it remained the next turn.
