AI question

Just wondering if the same AI "problem" is occuring for anybody else. In numerious scenarios the Russina AI just does not like to covert his a lot of "his" obsolite A/C like the I-15...even by Aug 42. I'm wondering if the upgrade feature delays conversion(BTW how does this work). Also notice the Western Front like to shatter on 6/22/41 at time when I play the russians.

There is conversion for Soviet AC, use editwir to look at the upgrade chain. For example, look up I-15 and see what its supposed to upgrade to. Maybe there just isn't enough new AC in the pool to make the change? The AI likes to build up large numbers before it starts switching to newer AC.

Hmmm, I've never seen that in comp vs. comp or human vs comp games yet. Are you sure you're talking about the Western Front, and not the Italian Front? The Italian Front *can* shatter early, before the strength of the units there can rise to a safe level. Consider making temporary reinforcements from West Front to Italian Front if you're playing the Axis. The AI is an idiot, so don't be surprised if it doesn't reinforce the Italian Front despite the danger.

The I-15 upgrades to the LL Hurricane II...Question can you get the AI to upgrade to any A/C if you remove the upgrade feature in WIREDIT? The Western Front shattering on the 1st turn happens in only if I play the Russians...however I ran the 1st day a few more times last night and it only happened 1 out of 10 times.

The West Front shattering in 1941 should be impossible since the there is no event checks for the West Front until 1942. Unless that was changed in the last patch you may have a corrupt file and may want to download a new one.
