WestF/ItalianF: Allied strentgh calculation

Post by cverbrug »

The same question applies here, what is the correct strength.

Strentgh observed when rightclicking on 22/6/41 on the WF=1000 IF=1500.
However, the rules book says, and in the update documentation one can read that these rules still apply? (am i correct here?)

IF=(year-1941)*500 + 500 if weather clear (+500 possible for leader check. The year is 1941, and weather is clear, so if i do my maths here: (1941-1941=0, thus 0*500 + 500 + 500 for leader.
Makes the equation maximally 1000. So how come the game reports for allied strentgh 1500?

Very kind regards,
Christophe

The manual is outdated, but I'm going to see if this info can get added to the readme.txt for the next version. In the meantime:

Med Front:
'41 1000
'42 1500
'43 2000
'44 3000
'45 2750

Clear weather +500

Failed leadership check +500 (1941-42) or
+750 (1943+)

Front is reduced to 1/3 or 1/2 strength if
fighting outside of mainland Italy, including
Sicily, in 1943 or later.

West Front:
'41 0
'42 2000
'43 3000
'44 5500
'45 6500

Clear weather +1000

Failed leadership check +1000 (1943+)

Front is reduced to 1/3 or 1/2 strength if
fighting in Normandy in 1944-1945.
