Warsaw is captured, Poland surrenders! No defense possible as all Polish units remained static; only one or two could dig in a bit
Soviets grab Eastern Poland. To reflect this an exclusion zone with Soviet units was in effect from the outset.Elements of the Polish Army escape to Allied soil! Two Polish units are in above mentioned exclusion zone

The Phony War commences! OK let's see how phoney this is gonna be, and what the Axis' next move is. A good thing is that I can move the Dutch and Belgian units in their countries and fortify some hexes.

The Hungarians seem to have reached some kind of stop line in Yugoslavia.

The situation in the Mediterranean... The "capture" of Malta was done solely by the Italian navy, supported by their airforce... I'll send a landing party to Malta.

Spain and Turkey have joined the Axis camp ... The Axis have all of North Africa and most of the Middle East... the Soviet Union faces a hard time when Barbarossa begins...


In the West Britain holds out against Axis pressure, Iceland is still in Allied hands...

[8|]Funny how different it plays with the Allies as PO. They seem to get a lot of smarts, and te Axis dumbs down. I hope if I can do a PO, it will be a little less gamey.[:'(]

I didn't switch the advantage option to the human player... that might have made a difference...

The invasion of the Soviet Union has begun... including an attack by Turkish troops but I can contain those ...
Against the Germans I'm pulling back behind rivers and playing with time till the winter takes effect...

Halfway through turn 110 - Oct 4 1941 and the Soviets are hanging on for dear life!
If Moscow falls the war is over. They need to hold out till turn 114 when the winter will affect the Axis forces.


In the South the Axis are unable to get past Zaporozhe.[:D]

In the Caucasus the invading Turkish army has been surrounded and destroyed (minor Axis partners do not reconstitute, that's also why I go hard after Hungarians, Bulgarians etc)... a small Soviet force captured Ankara and is now threatening the Istanbul garrison.
Britain is still under attack. Multiple landing attempts near Dover have been rebuffed.
