Where did the ground go?

The ground texture dissapeared on my last game. Screen attached.

I've seen this happen when the graphics driver blows a gasket. If you see this in the logs, "D3DERR_DRIVERINTERNALERROR", it usually means you need to reboot and start things fresh. The game actually tried to recover, but obviously couldn't completely. You might post your DxDiag and game log file when you see the ground disappear. I can have a better picture of what is going on.

I'll try and repro it. I noticed that the ground would reapear when I would scroll closer, than disapear when zoomed further in or out. I'll post the dialog in a few days when I get home.
